Student discipline rules
- Arrive on time, respect the teacher, follow instructions, and finish homework on time.
- Be kind to other students. Do not swear, fight, or bully. Speak and act politely.
- Look after school property. Do not touch classroom items without permission. After class, leave the room as you found it. Damage must be paid for.
- Do not litter. Do not eat in the building or the classroom. Keep the classroom and the grounds clean.
- Stay safe at break. Do not leave the school grounds to play or shop, and do not play dangerous games. Play only where a teacher is supervising. Students must not stay in the classroom during break, or when the teacher is not there.
- After school, leave the classroom in an orderly way and wait inside the school for a parent. Parents should arrive on time.
- Do not bring valuables to school.
- Students may bring a phone so they can contact a parent, but it must be switched off during class.
- Students must not bring food that contains nuts, and they must not share food.
- If a student repeatedly and seriously breaks school rules and disrupts the class, the school will contact the parents. If the behaviour does not improve after several conversations, the school may ask the student to leave.
- Older students may bring a device needed for class, and may use it only to open learning materials and complete the teacher’s tasks. At school, use of devices and the internet must follow the law and must not invade anyone’s privacy.
